Swiss Banks cooporate with Logica
The following summaries will introduce you to a number of IT projects for Swiss banks in which Logica played a leading role.
Credit Suisse & UBS: Payment Transactions
In their foreign exchange dealings, both banks deploy the CLS platform (Continuous Linked Settlement). For real time monitoring of latest and outstanding payments, Logica integrated its standard solution LPM (Logica Payments Manager). In addition, the Logica CLS Manager was implemented for reconciliation of incoming and automation of outgoing CLS payments.
Credit Suisse: Online access to customer data
The B2B portal developed by Logica provides institutional customers of Credit Suisse access to the transactions of their accounts. This portal meets the highest security standards and has been achieved with the latest object-oriented technologies like XML and Java. This enables Credit Suisse to introduce new services in a flexible manner as well as providing automatic clearing and gives customers online access to important information.
EBS (Electronic Bourse Switzerland)
As main contractor for the EBS-Project of the Swiss Stock Exchange, Logica was responsible for providing the trading concept, requirement specifications and system implementation. Our job was to set up the project and quality organisation, provide technical specifications, functional specifications, design the trading system, manage the project and play a key role in software development, system testing and performance tuning as well as external technical audits.
Within the scope of Eurex, Logica developed the requirement and functional specifications and system design for its implementation (Repo SWX) in Switzerland and was also responsible for documentation (technical writing).
LGT: Project Office
LGT, which was launched in spring 2006 with the introduction of the Avaloq core banking application, today aims at handling almost the entire operative banking business with this platform. Project structures and processes which are effective at this point of time within LGT have been complemented by suitable organisational project guidelines for more precise monitoring and controlling. Logica has been entrusted with the 1st analysis of regulations, guidelines, reporting requirements, tools and interfaces. In a liability analysis, rolls, tasks, workflows, processes, schedules and reports as well as technical interfaces have been defined and implemented.
Man Investment: Program and project management, testing
As part of the overall IT restructuring and redevelopment at Man Investments, Logica provided highly qualified experts for project and test management. These assignments played a crucial role in the overall success of the programme. In addition, it was possible to meet the specified quality requirements for a number of projects through test management, providing test concepts and performing these tests.
Vontobel Bank: Asset Management
The Vontobel Bank assigned Logica the task of strategy development, specification of functions and implementation of their asset management requirements. Logica was responsible for the design of the application architecture, editing operational processes, product evaluation, planning and budgeting of application implementation, project management and technical support.
ZKB: Feasibility study for pricing plans
The Kantonalbank of Zurich (ZKB) commissioned Logica to conduct a feasibility study for pricing plans, to complement the present Avaloq securities system with a flexible pricing application. Logica held a number of workshops to analyse present business processes and technical requirements aimed at creating a more flexible, economical and suitable solution. The recommendations of this study will be part of an upcoming ZKB implementation.
